Again, I have not told anything to try to prove to you that God exists by using the Bible. I told you how I handle the issue. You keep replying to me as if I am using the Bible. That is what I meant by tunnel vision. Take that out of you and read how I reason the issue.
Well, I went back to my very first post(#19) and I wrote: I do not think you have to believe in the Bible to believe in God.
Well I was never really referring to you. That's why I say others.
Uuummm..... Most quote phrases from the Bible, Bible is God's word so they say. Read in another post that if you do not believe in the Bible then you do not believe in God. So which is it? How can there be so many variations and interpretation of a book? And yes I believe in everything I do for work, that's why I went to school for it.[/quote]
Well, here is where I know you will never accept anything anybody will ever tell you about the existence of God. I just got the impression you started this OP already thinking you will not be convinced. I do not think you actually wanted to keep an open mind as you claim.
The highlighted part gave me that conclusion. I asked "Do you agree and believe everything you do at work?" Unless you have never come across at work that you may not believe and agree but compromised to get things done, this give me the impression you responded with a lot of faith on something else but not willing to give some faith to any type of reasoning related to the existence of God.
That is just how you come across with me now, you started with a predisposition not be convinced.

You have a great day.

What I do in my work, is of my own design, why would I need to compromise anything? And you know what, you can think all you want but it doesn't make it true. And I have noticed that many believers are completely closed to the idea that things may not be what they believe. Must go both ways then.
Exactly, how do we know what is "good"? There is a standard that has been implanted in every human being. Where does this standard come from?
From One's self.We know what is good by how others feel when we treat them a certain way. We all have spirits I do believe ( I have seen it), which is why we are so different from each other. Do I believe death is the end, nope. Do I believe we float of to a magical land where God sits on a thrown and everything is wonderful. Nope. Everyone sets their own standard of morals, many of which differ from each others.
Every law has a giver. There is a moral law. Therefore, there is a moral law giver.
I believe our moral sense is a result of evolution (as in "a animal that does not protect its children is more likely to be eliminated from the gene pool") + an emergent property of our culture (which is why not everybody in the whole world agree with what is "good" and "bad") + the fear of retribution from the law.
I don't practise cannibalism because I'm instinctively disgusted by the idea. I respect and help elders because I've been educated in a society where this is the right thing to do. And I don't park in a forbidden zone because I might get caught and have to pay a fine.
