Why not? It's not any different from living in any other town with 100,000 residents. And you get more amenities than you would with the typical town of that size.

When I went on my LifeStyles Package I was told TV is very close to
build out (capacity). Unless they buy more land, by 2014 they'll be done in this
area. I personally think they'll buy the horse farms across the street and keep
building!

IMO - until the developer stops building - if you have to/want to sell - you'll just be in competition with the builder. Especially when it comes to The Villages - which doesn't participate in the MLS system. Robyn

A "regular" town with 100,00 residents would have homes built by more than one developer and people of all different ages. I do agree about the amenities.

The same is true in any new community that isn't built out. And, even if your community is built out youll have to compete with the new development down the street. I guess it doesn't bother me because I've been in that situation in every community I've lived in, yet I've always managed to sell every house I've owned.
But to be fair I haven't looked into living in the Villages, so maybe it's a bigger deal there.

My problem with The Villages is it's in the middle of nowhere in Florida. And there's ton of vacant very generic not so exciting land there. So as long as you're in competition with the developer - you're at a disadvantage if/when you're a seller. Robyn
