Oh please, Chim dude cut it out already with the charts. Seriously dude. Comparing Sacramento with Phoenix or Vegas or any furnace dump in the USA is retarded man. Weather sucks here compared to bay area or San Diego and we know it. Sacramento is only a lower priced dump area of California like Bakersfield or similar places.

@Valleyboy you are right it was blistering in MAY. Never saw that in my years living here. June weather is like late August heat.

Sacramento 82F - Perfect Pleasant dew point
Seattle 82F
Portland 83F

Phoenix 96F

Hey Readers, I've always obtained my the data for this thread from weather.com and the National Weather Service.

I created this thread because like so many Californians I sort of just went along with the stereotypes about Sacramento weather, which you may not even know about. And I discovered how untrue those stereotypes were and surprisingly discovered how unique and distinct Sacramento summer weather really is, not only in comparison to its location within interior California and coastal California, but in comparison with the rest of the country. I discovered how comfortable and cool its summers are most of the time throughout a typical summer day and night.

Well I checked Alexa and it is 60% humidity with high dew point at 73F right now and definitely feels a bit muggy. PNW is having a freak year of wacky high temps.

Sacramento is almost NEVER a dew point of 73F, nor 60% humidity, except when it is Cool or when it rains in the winter.

Another Perfect Sacramento Summer Day. From 6am to 2PM it was in the upper 50s to upper 70's. (8hrs of cool to comfortable daylight hours) Late afternoon mostly 80's.

For the last 15 days the highs have been mostly around the upper 80's to low 90's, with low dew points=very comfortable and pleasant and low humidity. (2 days it reached 100F lasting less than 1 hour), But just about everyone including me will characterize the last 15 days by those 2 hours of 100F, why we do this is a mystery, its part of our DNA to downplay how great our weather really is!

For the last 15 days lows temps have been in the mid 50's and low 60's offering many cool daylight hours regardless of how warm it may get later that afternoon.

Spent today on a large boat, breakfast and lunch cruising up and down the Sacramento River. Late afternoon, as it reached the upper 80's, we brought out the jet skis for the kids, full sun, the water was cold and refreshing!

July 5, 2021, 7:30PM, (PST) late afternoon, early evening

San Francisco Feels like temp 52F, I'd much rather be on a boat on the Sacramento River than SF Bay. It's never warm in SF.
Portland 79F
Seattle 80F

Sacramento 82F - Perfect, Delta Breeze picking up, expect a dramatic cool down, all that cold Pacific air is sucked through the Delta funneled up to Sacramento. Perfect Time for a walk to Gunters Ice Cream!!! A Sacramento favorite pastime! Perfect humidity levels, pleasant and comfortable.

Dallas heat index 95F
Las Vegas 107F

Today kicked up the extreme heat wave well anyways it’s almost 90F at 11:30pm no breeze in Carmichael and I don’t like ice cream and there’s no Gunters nearby plus it’s fattening makes you thirsty only water gets rid of thirst for me. I did spend a lot of time in my pool today after work that was refreshing. Tomorrow supposed to be 115F maybe but forecasts are not always accurate. I’ll be in pool all weekend to keep cool.
