Statistics show that 157% of Mexican restaurants are from Jalisco.

BTW, there'a new somebody's Gourment in the Colonnade across from the FuddDuckers. Forget the name.

Also a Genghis Grill in Huebner Oaks.

3 months, according to the thread. January 5 was the first post here about it.

Guess the Express-News is a bit behind.

Technically, they were locked out for non payment of rent in January, but they had not "closed" the location. I guess they were not able to negotiate (pay) the landlord, so it has now converted to closed.

Drove by there at lunchtime today. It was packed again. You'd think San Antonio had never seen a new restaurant before.

Especially not one as good as "El Bucanero". I think that a lot of people might be those who love it at the old location & are now beyond ecstatic to have one here while others are people who've always wanted to try the old place but for whom it was too far away. I fall into the latter category

Those people who have never seen a new restaurant should drive a couple miles south to the intersection of Blanco and Wurzbach. The restaurant there that is now Majadera (which just opened in the past month, without being mentioned in this thread BTW) has been a "new" restaurant about 7x in the last 10 years.
