There was another thread that touched on this, which is now locked.

I found out some new info and thought that those in the lookout canyon area may appreciate it.

The Center has done some leasing, evidently, and here is what was in the email I received.

To date, center will include liquor store, cleaners, coffee shop, nail salon
and spa.
Project will be four separate buildings, including a two-story 44,000 square
foot building, plus a 1.7 acre pad site -- no word on what that will be yet."

I found this part from the Weitzman Group - leasing agents for the center - website.

I enlarged the diagram from the website and the 4,000sq ft building says "bank" on it.

That might be wishful thinking on the part of the developer. Bank development has slowed dramatically in SA over the past 2 years, following a decade in which the number of bank branches in the city more than doubled.

I see that it is now being leased by a different group - specifically UCRealty.

Anyone know why they changed?

Weitzman Group is also the developer, and have expired on their brokerage services, but still continue on developing services. UCR is another local & national broker that can provide the same services. I just finished the lease on the dry cleaner going in, and trying to put a few more businesses in there...I'm a commercial realtor as well.

So, it looks like the shops at Overlook will just another sh*t ugly strip mall. In the middle of my neighborhood no less.
I think it sucks. Why couldn't they make a nice family park. there was plenty of room. And I don't need a reality check people, a girl can dream.
I would really like to give those developers a piece of my mind.

Ofcourse my mind might change if a Trader Joes was going in nah, the traffic would suck.

The thing is in my back yard. I need to get with them because kids are racing four wheelers along the road they put in the rear of it. Speed bumps need to be put down.
