Kimura- lunch. Very good ramen, but they ran out of tonkotsu again. I went with shoyu and noted the egg was passed easy, the pork was not belly (missing the melt in your mouth quality of my favorites in NY), and i prefer a hint more bite in the noodles. Aside from those minor issues, it was a very good bowl of ramen and I only expect them to get better. The real issue for me was the 50 minutes to get the food out. That is unacceptable imo for lunch.

Anyhooooo...hubby got to go to the Lord's Kitchen on Monday, and said he finally had a great local burger. So, there's that.

Funny that everyone thinks they know something

For all you knew, this 'bn' wasn't who you thought they were either

...Now continue with the regularly scheduled conversation. This is about food, not me, who I may be, who I'm not, etc.

They were out of that last night also. Barbaro is on my list for lunch tomorrow.

I KNOW something and it isn't what you think. Went to Green and the nachos were amazing!

Barbaro on McCullough, second night open-no muss, no fuss. Very nice salads, pizzas, nice beers on tap-cocktails in case you're inclined. A few folks with kids, different vibe from Monterey. Then again this is Monte Vista, not Southtown.

I know some things. But my son and I were on our own tonight so we grabbed McAllister's....sandwich hit the spot and the side of fruit was fresh and sweet.

Yes the Lord's Kitchen has great food. Many city officials ,Bexar Co. employees frequent this place.I also have another recommendation, that is "AJ's",north corner of WALTERS at 35 S before the FT.SAM ENTRANCE.Breakfast tacos and burgers are very good. This I know.
