I can only speak about what I see having lived day to day in both places. Beyond that, that map isn't relevant to my life simply because it doesn't reflect what I have experienced. I've never lived back east so I can't comment on that.

I remember when I was living in San Diego, there was a huge difference between when I had a negative attitude and a positive attitude. Women can see that. When my attitude was positive I felt more confident and had a lot more success in dating, while when my attitude was negative and I kept telling myself that its impossible to meet a girl in SD, I was just setting myself up for failure.

Oh yeah. That's an excellent point and I totally agree with you. Confidence is a really important factor as well. Especially as you mentioned when you are approaching women that you don't know. I guess you just have to balance the line between cocky and confident but it makes all the difference in the world if you are confident.

Yeah, there is a thin line between cocky and confident, as I have discussed this in the Relationships forum. Cockiness is often a cover up for insecurity. When someone acts cocky, he could give off the vibe that he is trying too hard.

And the best city for dating is .... - MSN Living
I am always amazed at these polls and studies. How can anyone judge the best place for dating or for anything else for that matter..?? I love San Diego, I met my husband there, but to even try to decide the best place for dating, especially based on a magazine poll is a has little meaning. Next week or month the list will be very different.

I totally agree with you Nita. Lots of these lists are based on the whims of the author writing it. And who knows what their judgment or dating skills is like. LOL.

I'll stand by my call that really any major metropolitan city should be decent to date if you're a normal person with good communication skills. I do find these various lists interesting to read however.

I agree with all the others here. If you dont have game, you dont have game period and there is certainly no poll that will help dictate that. In ANY city.

The scaling is suspect indeed. How far off is ranking 1 from 8?

Saying your in the top 5 cities for dating is like reading a cereal box that says 33% MORE. More of what?
