LOL Indeed, they bring the yahoo/sfgate negative comments to this forum. They are trying to turn this into the politics & controversies forum aka stormfront lite.

I didn't mean to bash Oakland. In defense of it Mid Market, the Loin, Civic Center, and the Soma are a lot worst than anything in the downtown area of Oakland.

I wouldn't go that far. Civic Center stinks, and has a lot of homeless and mexicans swapping drugs in the Donut Star, but it's not "dangerous".

Parts of Oakland literally feel like you could get jumped by thugs at any second. It's hard to describe, but it's just the overall shadiness, it's kind of weird.
