How infuriating. So sorry for that couple.

I was hoping one of those customers was going to pull out a concealed weapon and make the world a slightly better place... although, Bay Area-ians would probably then riot and rob 20 stores and then hold a memorial service for the gunmen.

Yes, because that's exactly what happened the last 5,000 times people (not including cops) defended themselves with deadly force in the Bay Area. Riots and robberies in protest, every time.

Hoping for private citizens to shoot up a pizzeria--even one being robbed--is the kind of childish, redneck idea that may play well in Florida, but not here.

lol if my friends knew I was called a redneck, they would be laughing right now. I vote Democrat in every election, but okay, just because I believe people should be able to stop two thugs that shot a clerk that makes me a redneck... In my opinion, the clerk's life is more valuable than the criminals. If that girl was my girl-friend, future daughter, aunt, hypothetical sister etc, I would hope someone there would be able to protect her in that situation. Luckily, the bullet only hit her arm, but yes exactly what I was talking about, defend the criminals, great job! This is why criminals are so brazen here, people believe is just bending over and letting them do whatever they want. There are no protests even during the most atrocious crimes, yet a thug is shot by a police officer after attacking him thousands of miles away and we get protests, riots etc.

Using your logic, should we be calling you a redneck if you don't believe in donating 60% of your income to the poor? Why are people so smug here? South Park even made an episode about it, kinda funny.

I'm not defending the criminals. Not sure how you make that leap of logic. I just don't want random, untrained people playing heroes and catching me in the crossfire.

Damn shame these ignorant savages are out of control with these guns shooting innocent people.

Maybe the techies can get busy creating a system where there is a drone for every business. When these people come calling, they are instantly vaporized.

Futuristic remedies which pair up with medieval brutality, is one way to deal with these people.

Indeed. The Commiecrats would then make shrines for the robbers after that.

Wow! That is quite frustrating. Soon you will see stores with bulletproof glass between the customer and worker. Example

A law abiding citizen protecting an employee after being shot is not called "shooting up" a pizzeria. Notice how you put the criminal element toward the citizen instead of the actual gunmen? I'll tell you what, if I was shot or being shot at, I would rather have a person 5 feet behind him attempt to stop the gunmen vs hoping their bullets miss my vital organs.

Like I said before, criminals are so brazen here because they know citizens won't be armed and most like you, are willing to just bend over and hope for the best. There was a crazy guy on MUNI with a knife, waving it around yelling profanity about homosexuals, nobody did anything, including the bus driver. It's the culture here to just let idiots do what they want.
