Suburbs in NYC are a better value from what I understand when it comes to crime and schools.

No, their top restaurants employ French techniques that impress Michelin critics, but their normal food is extremely homogeneous, whereas a stroll down Piedmont Av gives me access to really great, authentic food from around the world.

Its really no contest.

As far as things to do, it shouldn't be surprising Tokyo has a million more things to offer just based on its population for a first world city/country, but really I don't need to list them out, it would take a year.
Haha likewise the Bay Area has no shortage of culture, recreation, concerts, sporting events, festivals, from people from around the world, who the eff do you think your talking to? San Francisco is a world class city that constantly rates higher than Tokyo is nearly every if not all major travel surveys.

And while Tokyo isn't as diverse based on race, it is certainly more diverse based on cultures.
The HELL it is. Is there even ONE neighborhood in Tokyo where Japanese arent the supermajority of the population?

Most of our counties including SF itself has no racial majority.

In San Francisco and Bay Area, it's basically a liberal cesspool.
Versus entire states being neocon cesspools, so what?

In Tokyo, there are so many sub groups of people from the fashion-ites, the harujukus, the cosplay, the traditional, the punk rock, the jpop, the dolls etc, there are so many different types of people there.
Please stop. We have goths, grunge, preppies, hippies, anarchists, bikers, crips, bloods, hipsters, etc.

When it comes to New York City, it is a million times cleaner than San Francisco. It doesn't even come close! Although, it was much better under Bloomberg. Now that Blassio is there, people are starting to complain about certain things now.
Ever seen garbage pile up on a hot summer day in New York?

Lol

But they are boring , you just said suburbs are boring so you're right back to square one. Not to mention Long Island has some really bad Ghetto's in their suburbs also.

Yes, a bad suburb in NY will be dirt cheap.

NY is much more diverse generally (age, wealth, race, income, etc) than SF Bay which is almost universally wealthy and expensive at this point. You won't find 1k/sf ****boxes in the NY suburbs. NY has many downsides but at this point it's largely a better 'value' (whatever that means) than SF Bay. That's a relatively recent change.

It's about the same as here And you have to drive 2 hours to get into the city, not to mention it's boring as hell out there and the weather sucks.

Los
You can believe what you want, it's just rather funny lol. It's like a person from Brentwood saying, "brentwood is more diverse than San Francisco, it also has many things to do, it's better" you don't have to get so defensive, it makes you seem a bit desperate.

I grew up one hour from manhattan by train in a well-preserved waterfront town founded in the 17th century with a lively restaurant scene surrounded by bays and beaches. Top notch schools and a really nice home can still be had for 700k. 10 years ago it wasn't this way but SF has gotten much more expensive since then. Compare that to nowhere-ville Sunnyvale.

700K is not affordable. That's the same as living in Walnut Creek which has Great schools and some nice places to eat and shop and you're only 30-45 minutes from SF by Train.

It's a lot nicer than Walnut Creek. Certainly less paved over. Waterfront property, beaches, bays, marinas, preserves, parks.

Oh and 15 minutes away you can buy a house for 450k and send your kids to the same schools.

no comparison anymore, SF is on a whole other level now.
