The feces, needles, and garbage are nothing new, sadly. All those things have been in the streets and gutters for many decades. They have been washed down the storm sewers by rain and street cleaning trucks all these years already ... regardless of liberals ... and prior to the clean up campaign.

The difference now is, of course, the clean up is designed, finally, by the libs you hate, to use disease-neutralizing agents and target the messes as quickly as possible, rather than allow the crap to endanger the public for long periods of time until haphazardly washed away by rain or water trucks without bleach.

San Francisco doesn't have enough public restrooms, it never has. I was in the Ferry building about a month ago and the restrooms had waiting lines of 20-30 people. Whenever someone who looked homeless tried to get in line the security guard would escort them out of the building. San Francisco needs to provide more public restroom facilities for tourists and for the homeless. I'm having trouble figuring out how/why you would try to spin that into a political argument
