Agree ^^^ Also, there are paths all along the beaches to ride, and of course Legacy Trail. Just don't get on those bike lanes on the busy highways!!!

I work for a property management company which manages POAs, HOAs, and COAs. It has a rental division; DM me for that information.

And on another note...do NOT walk across 41 (aka Tamiami Trail) after dark...especially South of downtown. Pedestrians are killed all the time crossing 41 later at night.

After killing countless people they still have self driving cars driving around Florida. I'm not sure how many people you have to kill before the government shuts you down. But anything to take jobs away from people. No price too high for that.

If you remember, the police had a BIG problem with stupid people jay-walking up and down Main St Sarasota from 301 to Gulfstream or so...they did issue a bunch of tickets, but I think the local DT folks and walkers protested - I haven't seen another ticket being issued but the fools continue and maybe SHOULD get hit ...cars back up without looking/waiting etc....I see it all the time...

A worse offense are the fools who ride their bikes against the traffic - and of course on roads with no opposing bike lanes - these fools don't think they have to observe the SAME rules of the road as a truck or car.

I've seen big transport trucks give them a "brushback" and big F250's F350's also smoke them with diesel exhaust LOL

I'm not riding my bike along a busy road with the traffic coming up behind me, which makes me blind to the texter who is about to run me down from behind...no thx.

I want to see the cars coming at me so I have a fighting chance to get out of the way when a texter swerves into the bike lane.

Lol Beach, yes we need you alive

When I am out walking where there is a sidewalk or not, I do the same thing. I do not need a distracted or drunk driver mounting the sidewalk.

Bottom line, we do not owe anyone a “reason” for how we “choose” to live OUR, not THEIR life.
