I am relocating to the area from out of state. I have been looking in both areas. Looking online its hard to see. But my question is Westchase higher end than Fishhawk?

Yes. I would rank them in this order:

Westchase
Grand Hampton
Fishhawk

Westchase is spread out and is a great area. Grand Hampton is a Master Planned Community with a phenomenal club house, pool, etc... Fishhawk I will have to defer to the experts on that one.

All three are in very different parts of Tampa. Each one has a significantly different feel. Highly recommend taking a look before settling on any of the three as you really do need to see each one to determine what fits best for you.

GOOD LUCK!!

Thank you I really appreciate the advice. We don't have much time to find a home. Any suggestions on communities in Westchase that are very family oriented as we have a toddler.

Okay then will do my best. A lot of the communities in Westchase don't have hundreds of homes in them. The areas/streets between Gretna Green Dr on the West side and Mantague Street on the East side (North of Linebaugh Avenue) have some very nice areas with families.

The areas you are referring to are spread out all of the Tampa Bay region. Do you know where your employment will be? Also, I highly suggest renting for at least a year before purchasing a home since you are not familiar with the region.

My husband works from home. But we have a 3 year old we want to be in a good school district. That is our plan to rent for a year. So we are trying to find a rental that we may buy or close to where we would buy. But we would like to make use of the downtown area.

I forgot to mention we would like to be maybe about a 30-50 minute drive to the airport as well. Even if that would be not during rush hour that is fine too.
