I don't much care for Romo or the Cowboys either, but Metro Matt, your post #185 is inexcusable IMO.

I think we have a winner.

What cracks me up about MM is that one minute he is blasting those that he thinks are "bandwagon" fans and then he blasts those that still follow them and like the team even when they are losing. Which is it, he either does not like bandwagon fans or he does not like fans that stick by their team thru thick and thin. Or did he try to hit on Tony Romo one time and Tony shot him down

LOL, I think there's definitely something to the Tony Romo angle.

And I agree, Catman, #185 was in pretty bad taste regardless of your feelings toward a city or team. I think MM is getting a little carried away.

What's funny is that he is jumping on the bandwagon of the team that potentially may have its best season ever.

I think the Cowboys have been on the cusp for a couple of years now. The team is loaded with great athletes and should have achieved more than they have----something is amiss in River City.

Jones of course is a strong owner who is involved in every aspect of control-----sometimes he pretends to allow his coaching staff to have independence in planning but we know that is not true.

It is time for them to bring in a coach and allow him total control in building his team accordingly. I know this is almost impossible with Jones, but unless he decides to bring in a coach with a clear and concise structure and program, the Boys will continue to flounder.

I know they tried that in Parcells----but Jones meandered and interferred creating the usual chasm and confusion. Hire a guy like Cowher, step back Jerry, and let the man as Parcells said buy his own groceries and manuever the shopping cart. Everything else has failed----you now have your outrageous palace and palludium----step up Jerry---this coming from a guy who is definitely not a Cowboy fan.

No offense Metro Matt, but you're making Texans fans look bad with all the crap you've been posting.

Default Skyrocketing ticket prices

Quote:
The Texans are off to a 2-0 start for the second time in franchise history and have won six straight games dating back to last season.
The buzz around the Texans is so high that ticket prices for Sunday's game against the Cowboys at Reliant Stadium are skyrocketing.
Thinking about heading to Houston to attend the game?
A quick look at Stubhub.com shows the cheapest tickets (unless you buy a solo) are on sale for $225 each. Club level seats start at $500 a ticket.
Want to sit on the first row at the 50-yard line? Cough up $1,315 per ticket.
Just think how much they might have cost if the Cowboys hadn't started 0-2.
sounds like this is going to be an interesting rematch, too bad I won't be watching

Agree. JJ is one of the biggest problems facing the Cowboys. He is his own worst enemy when it comes to the success of the team he owns.

I liked this article in todays Dallas Morning News and Jimmy Johnson's take on the situation.

This is what kills me. Whenever there is someone trying to "make their case" and they are actually doing more harm than good and proving the naysayers right I just want to reach thru and slap them. Thing is they don't realize they are actually hurting their cause.

I do not believe that the Cowboys fans hate the Texans. For many years the Oilers and the Cowboys were a Thanksgiving Day tradition and people actually LIKED the fact that both teams were from Texas. There are a good number of people that reside in the Dallas area that grew up in Houston and it is played out as a friendly rivalry amongst friends. Cowboys fans have other teams that fall under the "hated rivalry" catagory.

I'm a lifelong Cowboys fan and I certainly have no problem with the Texans. They are in the AFC and therefore no threat to the team overall. They will, however, be a single game threat next weekend of course...lol. The Cowboys rivals are other NFC eastern division teams (Redskins, Eagles, and Giants) When the Texans are not playing the Cowboys I always root for them.

EXACTLY!!! I can not think of a single instance where Cowboys fans had any real hatred towards the Texans or in years past the Oilers. Why MM has this deep seated hatred against the Cowboys and Cowboys fans that he has so vehemently expressed is such a crack up. They are not even in the same division to be in such a rivalry situation. There has to be something that has only affected him to cause such hatred.
