It can't get cold fast enough for living in a place like San Angelo. Just wish we got snow!!!

Fall is my favorite season! It brings about such memories and feelings...though I am quite sure it's different for people in the more northern states. haha

I wrote about it many years ago....here's my poetic offering for those interested:

Seasons......

Fall, the season of many changes,
tis my favorite time of year.
Colors are muted, weather cooler,
the air crisp and clear.

Creatures of the world are preparing,
for the changes yet to come.
Coats are made or grown, shelter made ready,
food gathered and stored by some.

The days now shorter,
longer, darker nights.
Turn to the autumn sky,
to see the geese in flight.

Fall is the grand entrance
to the Holiday season.
Celebrations and parties planned,
none without reason.

Halloween brings new life,
to the memory of spirits.
Thanksgiving offering Blessings
so those above can hear it.

Fall blends into winter
the weather now cold.
Thoughts are now turning
to things we closely hold.

Christmas deepens the faith
in the purpose of being.
New Year's renews hope and faith
for the future we will be seeing.

Winter fades idly into Spring
when weather sometimes seems unfair.
Valentines opens the gateway to
new life and love in the air.

Easter shows earth's creatures
a love which will lighten the load.
Giving strength to face hurdles
while walking the chosen road.

Spring slips into hot Summer
relief is sought, movements are slow.
Tis a time for relaxing, enjoying
all the wonderful things we know.

Suddenly look up at the sky
and see the changes spinning round.
Realizing that Fall is home indeed
where no greater season can be found.

Comfort, solace, contentment and love
are all a great part of this season of Fall.
I anticipate meeting it every year
my favorite season of all.

I actually love Fall and Winter! Bring on the cold weather! It's actually nice to be able to wear something besides t-shirts and jeans/shorts!

With this type of 'chill', the cold air just zips right down into my lungs and chokes me up everytime. These last couple of days have been a dreary reminder of my dislike for Texas cold. Luckily today the sun came out, I was actually surprised. I guess those artificial UV lights can wait.

Yesterday...rainy and cold, what a drag. Is this the kind of weather people like? Because I assume it only deteriates as the season goes on. We'll see how it really turns out. Im sure by next week it'll be freezing, by then...luckily i'll be in the Carribean when it does.
Please...it hasn't gotten cold yet! The past few days have been really nice! Cold is when it's 20 degrees with a 25 mph wind!

I am ready to move to PA to actually experience how Fall should be (in my mind.)

Crisp temperatures
beautiful foliage
raking leaves
pumpkin patches
hot apple cider
wearing sweaters

I am very much looking forward to the change!

Happy Fall, everyone!

Autumn in Virginia used to be my absolute favorite time of year, anywhere. After living in Texas for so long now, the cold just pi$$es me off.

I do like a little nip in the air, but that's where it ends for me. No white stuff, unless it's potatoes, rice, or sugar.

Just look at our poll, folks. Looks like everybody wants it to get cool out there.

So be sure to vote in our poll if you haven't already.

By the way, some forecasters issued a frost advisory. Anyone seen any frost today?

There was frost on most of the rooftops and car windows around here both yesterday and today. I'm in the mid cities area.

Let's trade places!! I have lots of leaves you can rake in my backyard! It takes me 3 days to rake them all to the curb...then some big truck comes along and sweeps them up. Thankfully I don't have to bag them. The leaves are pretty right now, but it's cold--30's early this morning, not quite cold enough to snow but the car windows are all frosted up.
