You got it justme02, when there's a tree, there is a way! (When there is a will there is a way parody)

Haha I would venture out to say that it wouldn't be Texas as a whole without tree's. Texas would be ugly without them.

Lets look back at how much trees have given us! (As a country not just Texas)

My favorite picture (Western Chicagoland- it's not a hill they just had a segment in a park that they elevated):

This big skyline shot of Houston, that everyone at City-Data has seen, always shows how naturally forested a lot of Houston is (the west side on into Downtown and then from Downtown up North):

To keep it 100, ^^ this is incorrect... Westheimer really isnt considered Southwest Houston in the same vein as Sharpstown area, SWAT, etc -- not by houstonians at least. ...really, nobody in Houston calls Westheimer southwest, not that Ive heard of. They usually either specify "Galleria" or "Westchase" when speaking of westheimer. People MAY let you get away with considering Richmond southwest.

When I first got to Houston, I told people at the time that I lived in the Southwest off Westheimer, and people laughed and quickly corrected me.

I am discovering all these threads for the first time today. HtownLove, I had imprisoned myself in the Houston thread because I live there and thought that was all that existed. This stuff is great. HtownLove I truly understand about what you told me in the message about not posting enough or hardly ever seeing my posts. I love my Greater Houston Metro Area.

Default C'mon Houston Texas

Sounds like all you Houston kids are JEALOUS of DFW. We have Houston beat in just about EVERY respect. DFW Airport, The State Fair, The Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Six Flags, NHL (Dallas Stars), Texas Motor Speedway. We have more shopping, more entertainment. As far being diverse, Dallas is pretty damn diverse. We have close to a Million more people in population. Last but not least we are WAY more recognized in pop culture than Houston. I only say all this because it seems like every forum I read is full of Houston people putting Dallas down and it's sad. The only reason you don't hear DFW folks on here talking **** is because we don't give a **** about our SUBURB to the South... HOUSTON grow up. This is TEXAS and we're damn lucky to live here!
