Despite the low mileage, there can be a lot of deteriorated rubber parts and metal fatigue. Might be a money pit, but if I were to take chance on it, perhaps just to drive a few miles to the park & ride to take the bus, $600-1,000. That Buy it Now price is a fantasy.
There is no better car in the world, and I really like wagons. They are my favorite body style. I do not think even a 23 year old Toyota is worth $5000, though.
Pretty impressive. Looks all original.
I think it's worth 2000. I would buy it for 1k. Jus for the fun of having one.
If it start acting funny, I d jus junk it.
It would have been better , if it was a 4 cyl.
The v6 are not that great. If this thing need parts, it's gonna be hard to find.
For sure, it needs all new fluids. Full tune up and cleaning MAf, throttle body. Fuel injectors etc.
New plugs wires, dist cap and rotors. Haven't seen one of these in ages.
If those rear main seal isn't leaking by now, It will real soon. Same for those valve cover gasket and plugs grommet. The front three looks easy, The back three is a PITA..
Front three plugs -15minute job
Rear three plugs -3hours.
Back pain- Priceless
GREAT car - we owned one (actually two, one a 4, one a 6, one was a company car), and loved them dearly. Hard to find for sale any longer - I tried a few years ago when I was in the market and couldn't find one on the market anywhere reasonably close (within a few hundred miles).
I always thought this one would become a classic.
I'd have it looked over by a mechanic for an estimate of what it would take to get it in really good condition.
