Lows:
- Fit and Finish, seriously this is a new Toyota right and fit and finish is poor?
- Ride
- Limited AWD functionality, seriously???
I've heard quite the opposite from many reviewers. Consumer reports is kinda meh to begin with. You also just lusted cons, and every single vehicle they review has cons. Limited AWD? They all are. Who cares. If you want that type of vehicle, you arent looking at a rav4hybrid. They have the 4Runner for that niche. The rav is an all arounder that gets 40mpg.
People need to calm down more here. Toyota uses more cheaper-quality and lighter-weight parts than most automakers, since beginning of history. They just look nice on appearance from your eyes, that's all. But, if you use your hands and bang on the parts, especially the super light-weight engine hood cover, you will say "cheap-quality" easily. Open it up...
89 Subaru Forester $29,341
82 Mazda CX-5 $29,520
79 Honda CRV $28,935
74 Toyota RAV4 $32,109 (most expensive with the lowest rating)
Look at these prices... I bet 2019 Ford Escape S (which I best recommended) is right after Toyota RAV4's rating, and it only costs as little as $17,999 sale brand-new.

Sorry, but your data is outdated from 2018. Refer to my information which is from 2019.
Well now, I by mistake typed 2018, but my data is right Out of the Sept. 2019 edition. Page 65.
So another lie, along with the “ poor” claim.
Beyond that, I am not biased at all. Do not confuse bias with knowledge. I have been around cars my entire life since I was a kid. My Father was a mechanic that did the majority of his own work. And many times I was there watching.
I am done playing games. Regardless of any other opinions, here’s what I will say after almost 4 thousand miles. This vehicle does plenty for the price point. It has the latest safety equipment STANDARD , some of which you can’t even get with other brands . Currently with mixed highway and side roads daily, it gets almost mid 30’s MPG. It feels solid, secure and safe. In my family there is a 2016, and a 2018 RAV 4, and those drivers have driven my 2019. Their opinion? They were impressed. Another relative has a 2018 Highlander, after driving it the response was it drives and feels like the Highlanders baby brother.
So we are a Toyota family, except for one Honda , the 2006. And why ? Because for all of us, they have constantly and continually have met our expectations since the first one I bought in 1976. Only one had to be towed because of a hole in the radiator.
What’s clear is that Toyota has an outstanding reputation as a brand for quality and reliability. I have owned 4 Corollas. They are just around bulletproof, along with the other 6 Toyotas I have owned, they were all terrific vehicles. The price point isn’t as important as the deal, the dealer , and the treatment you get when you are a returning customer. There is more to making a knowledgeable buying decision than cutting and pasting , posting links and then generalizing and making up stories.
Probably only with FWD. Ford AWD vehicles have PTU problems.
Besides 2019 Ford Escape S FWD and 2020-2021 Ford Fusion S FWD, I don't recommend any other Ford model if one is looking for excellent reliability. Simple as that...

There is more to a car’s reliability than just its engine. You don’t seem to understand it.
