Well I happen to feel that she is guilty in some way. I also was shocked at the verdict. But I also realize that for every Casey Anthony there are 10 innocent people sitting behind bars. So I take it with a grain of salt. I don't believe Casey is a threat to the public. I also believe what's done is done and nothing is going to change the fact that Caylee is dead and no one was found guilty of her murder. It's time to move on and focus on children that are still alive and able to get help.
I completely agree that emotions must be put aside in the court of law.
The problem I am having with this, to me she is a threat to all of her future children and to the money of her future friends.
I would be terrified to be the grandmother of her next child, terrified.
I did say I couldn't muster up sympathy for her, but I disagree with throwing her to the wolves this way. Of course she should serve the probation that was part of her sentence for the check thing, but I see no reason why that has to happen inside Orange county other than to allow this vigilante justice to finish her off.
She won't be thrown to the wolves. No one is standing her in the town square ready to stone her. She simply cannot hide. She won't be able to settle down anywhere but if she keeps moving, she can cover her hide. This isn't much but it's something.
I can't feel sorry for her. She made this bed herself. She lied, she stole, she didn't care for her daughter. She's arrogant, entitled and thinks she's above the law. It's her own fault she's the most hated woman in America. I see no reason to have pity on her for a situation of her own making. I'm just glad the court isn't giving her special treatment. She doesn't deserve it.
If I were her, I'd do my probation as quietly as possible, do the spread for Hustler, take the money and have my face so radically altered no one would ever recognize me, change my name and start over as someone else but she's not that smart.

I agree but, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that. Her acquittal means she's free to have and kill another child and we can't even demand that CPS watch over the child. This we just have to accept and move on. I wonder how the jury will feel if she kills another child?
I never disputed that. Once she has completed her sentence, she gets back all of the rights of any citizen in society. Find one post where I said she doesn't.
For now, however, she doesn't have the right to hide. She'll be treated like every other convicted criminal.
The bolded is incorrect. As a felon she has lost a number of her civil rights, including the right to vote.

Actually we don't need to demand CPS do anything. Because of their findings, they will automatically be watching her should she have another child. They will most likely file before the birth to take immediate custody of the child, and Casey will have to prove she is a fit mother to regain custody. That would likely entail parenting classes, therapy, and passing random drug screens. Initially all visitation will be supervised. She will need to prove she is financially able to care for the child. It will take a lot of work on her part.
Additionally, their findings will come up in any background check which will preclude her from working in any setting with children, including schools, hospitals, theme parks, and even a number of retail and food service positions.

But she was found NOT guilty on all counts WRT Calyee. How can a not guilty verdict result in CPS swooping in to take a child? The only things she was found guilty of were lying and stealing. I would think CPS would have no more power over her than any other person found guilty of lying or stealing. She hasn't been found guilty of any crime against Caylee.
