^Just to add, yes Caroline Catz played a cop in Murder in Suburbia (which I enjoyed),
but she also is currently playing a cop in the newest season of DCI Banks.
O.K., thanks. I didn't know about DCI Banks because I watch all my TV on Netflix. I'll have to wait until they get it.
Thank you! I figured it must be coming soon - at least in the UK - as I'd read that they finished shooting in July. I tried to find out when it's coming here but no information yet. It's kind of bittersweet - I hate to think it's the last season.
^Yes, it hard started to become a "mythical" thing-the final season of our beloved series, is it ever even gonna' happen ?
I'm glad they can "wrap it up" knowing it's last season instead of just leaving it hanging as things were with the previous season,
though of course it'll be sad for us viewers, no matter how it ceases.
I liked Doc Martin, though he does irritate me sometimes. I find myself watching more and more PBS. Guess old age has put me in a different class when it comes to my enjoyment. Sex, sex, sex has turned me off. Been there, done that when it could be respectful. Looking forward to Downton Abby. There's adult done with sophistication. Lol.

Doc's the king of irritability, the high priest of rude, and the poster child of zero bedside manner.
And yes, sexy has been replaced by slutty in pop culture.
I binge watched Doc Martin a couple of years ago on Amazon Instant Video, and then watched the most recent season on Netflix. Used to love the show, but the most recent season was boring to me. Could be I'm just 'over it', but I don't think so. I'll watch the new season when if and when it becomes available, just not expecting too much.

I agree.
For me, his perpetual rudeness and Louisa's perpetual putting up with it has run it's course. It's moved into the realm of complete unbelievability at this point.
And I say that as a person who loves British comedy, BBC programming in general, and who really enjoyed Doc Martin for several seasons.
One of my favorite sets of scenes were the ones before the baby, when Louisa would sit things on the table and he'd go move them so they were perfect. The post baby the table had toys all over it and he wants somewhere to sit his cup and he just pushes them out of the way.
