Watching it now in Phoenix. That squeaky girl was a trip. Steven Tyler told her no -- and she heard that he said yes. Whoa. But what's up with the couple? They have them in there together and doing a duet. They should be on the CMT Can You Duet show. (That launched several great careers last year. I enjoyed watching that as well.)

It really IS a trip that people don't seem to own tape recorders or some way to hear themselves.

But again, I enjoy the show, no matter who the judges are. Out of all the reality shows, this and the dancing ones are about people trying to hone their talents and make their lives better. I like that they let the younger ones in. It's heartwarming to watch them trying and growing and learning how to use the amazing talent some of them have. And there is some satisfaction watching the spoiled ones get their comeuppance.

It's also fun watching the weirdness. And with that weird guy in the tats, I was grateful for that little mute button. I s'pose they's all happy to get their 15 minutes of fame outta the way...

Soooooo..... other than having access to the entire Aerosmith catalog for credit rolls and upping the creep factor by lowering the age restriction... why is AI still on TV again?? I forgot.

"Still no."

Only thing I can remember from the last time I watched is the clip of Randy smacking the one contestant in the mouth as he was running up through the line of people. I was stunned at first, but now, I can't keep from laughing when I see it re-aired. The man was totally oblivious to what had happened. I am glad the lady wasn't seriously hurt, but it's one of those things you laugh at after the fact.

Fun show again tonight. I just watched a youtube vid of Steven Tyler's recent tribute to Paul McCartney at the Kennedy Center. The whole audience was rocking out. Here is the link: Beatles medley

I don't really watch this show, but I caught the Chris Medina segment and man, his girlfriend is totally screwed up. I wonder what kind of car she was driving and the details of the accident.

I think i've just remembered that this show doesn't interest me until they get to the top 24. I keep missing it and don't really care. They had a couple of good ones tonight. But who knows until they get into the stressful part of it and you find out what they are made of. They have 194 so far. I wonder how many will go to Hollywood?

I get more into it when it gets through the auditions. I did think the couple that came on together were good.
