Maybe this is the new way networks are doing shows. Just stretch out half as many to cover entire season... Desperate Housewives is the same way, on and off, on and off...

Aren't both shows ABC? There are plenty of shows I watch that are much more consistent, they will take breaks, but also have long multiple week runs of new episodes, although I do watch a lot of the cable original shows, AMC, USA etc... If the big 3 think this is the way to keep viewers from bailing to all the other channels out there, they are wrong!
Emily Van Camp told Ellen Degeneres in an interview, that fans come up to her all the time voicing their opinions about the erratic schedule. She says she makes it very clear to the fans that it is the network doing this stuff.
Mike Kelley and ABC know people are ticked off. Just look at the Official Revenge Facebook and other forums... people are very vocal about their displeasure. I guess Kelley and ABC could care less.

Duh, does anyone really think that the actors have anything to do with the scheduling?
ABC has ruined many shows by doing this-I just don't understand how they can be so stupid. Please, Revenge fans, try to watch the show despite this. I don't want to lose another favorite due to the network's mismanagement!

You'd be surprised that many people think the actors have a say in it [scheduling] and get really irate with the actors. Just like there are countless fans of soap operas who think the actors who play villains are mean in real life and are tormenting others for fun. Soap actors have been attacked before because fans don't distinguish between a TV show and what is real. Some people just don't possess or exercise common sense.

It's true, people can get so caught up in the characters that they can start to lose touch with reality, and confuse actors with their characters. My guess with the majority of fans who come up to Emily Van camp is they mention it because she is the face of the show, but they don't really mean to blame her personally, or truly think she's somehow withholding new episodes, but there's always a few weirdos out there.
If they show a rerun they get twice the revenue (commercials) with no more production costs.
