Many of the above mentioned ppl, sadly are no longer with us. But they have left a legacy yet to be matched!
You know I recall we had to pay close attention to what was aired because poof! it was gone and not seen again. I think that aspect (plus all the reading we did as kids) developed very strong memories/powers of recollection in us from that era. My brothers and I can still recount episode plots from various shows including the Children's Film Festival offerings which aired a bit later in the day.

Here is a list of the film titles from CFF with Kukla, Fran and Ollie.

Seriously, it was far more rewarding when television was more selective with only a few channels than now.

Westhou

Someone was cool enough to put episodes of Reboot on YouTube. A lot of my childhood favorites (The New Adventures of Batman, Space Sentinels, Tarzan to name a few) are there. I go to YouTube whenever I feel like reliving my younger days

Maybe I'm just from another era-wall to wall cartoons, then American Bandstand, followed by Wide World of Sports. Those shows, and their respective hosts, now gone, but the memories will last forever! Sad.
Yes I miss it, too. I grew up in the same time and Saturday morning cartoons were wonderful ! I love the Roadrunner ! So creative beep - beep ! Love Sylvester & Tweety, Tom & Jerry, Popeye, Snaglepuss - Heavens to mergatroy ! Exit stage left (as he dashes out)

I loved American Bandstand and Wide World of Sports - on Saturday after cartoons. This really needs to come back on Saturday mornings - it's important for people to have these happy show to watch.
