Trust me, they do not want their kids in the public school system that they would be sent to. Zach would have been in danger IMO. They are really quite close to a big suburban area, not quite a farming community as is portrayed in the show. Lots of McMansions in what was nursery/farming area. They have see that area really grow in the past 20 years.

Every time I see one of those kids put their feet on the couch (with their shoes on), I can hear my late Momma's voice in my head.

as a parent, i would be SO ashamed of the way the youngest son acts. Ive watched an episode here and there (i used to live about 10min. from their farm, and know someone that has worked there) and im definatly NOT amused at how this kid acts. The last one I watched in disgust showed him go wild in a grocery store, slamming the cart into things, often coming close to other shoppers, thinking he was just hysterical while everyone around him probably wanted to throttle him. I know I would have. And mom, did NOTHING. Theres no freakin way my kid would be doing that! Much less if I knew it was televised! He's quite rude and obviously very full of himself. IMO, takes after the dad. But hey, thats just me.

J&k+8, the mom bugs me. I think shes over anal, too critical of her husband, and seems more interested in what she can get out of the kids $$/gift wise more than she is with being a loving mom. They seem more like possessions to her than children to cherish.
Of course, I could just be too judgemental and whatnot. Its not my life. (thank GOD!)

Tiff, then you know what I am referring to in my post. I know of how rough the sports are in that district. Many broken bones. Interesting isn't it that it is edited to make you think they are in the boonies

So only poor people should be on reality shows? Or people with the money to take elabortate vacations should be ashamed of themselves?

No, I think that Matt is a fantastic opportunist. He has alot of vision. Imagine what he has accomplished in his life, and Amy, wow to even carry four kids beside a set of twins. I think that the show has run its course, and I wish best of luck to them. Who knows how many deals they have to sign to. Product placement

Have you ever been to the bamboo garden down the way from them? Lots of different bamboo to choose from. We bought lots for ourselves and for different projects we worked on. That is why I know where they are. That distinctive sign was out even back then before the show. BTW I love how I usually get a Fred Meyer fix in every show.
