I tried the codes today (about 50x), and they didn't work! (((
I need to talk to someone! Grrrr. Email is just not cutting it for me at this point...not to mention it took over a week for them to respond to my last message!
I just used the code I posted above and it worked again. If you are having trouble you might be pushing in the numbers too slow. I am making sure to push them in a steady and semi fast pace. I would say not 1..... 2...... 1...... 1..... 7..... I would say more like 12117.
It is a directory with the names and phone numbers of the folks at the EDD. Not sure which name is best to select but it may be helpful to have a name and direct line rather than a random EDD agent.
press the option that you are an employer and keep on pressing numbers to get more information about a claim from a employee eventually you can press 0 and go to an operator. i think they are more apt to answer employer calls.
I talked to an EDD rep. at a One-stop career center in Sacramento (Lemon) branch; she said to dial 1-800-300-5616; then when you hear the guy say ("welcome to EDD...") press "1". If you hear the guy say ("Thank you for...."), hang-up. After you press "1", listen to the entire Obama message, then press "673" or "672" (i got through using "672" code), it will immediately connect you to an EDD headquarters rep. at that point, you will enter social security#....then, the machine will tell you your wait time.

As of 02/14/12 nothing works!! Seems like the edd agents took off early cuz of valentines day!!! Jerks, I always get through but today seems impossible.
evca is right. It's 2/15/12 and none of the codes are working and I can't get through to anyone. I've tried typing them all in quickly, slowly, super fast, etc... nothing works! Can't get through! Driving me up the wall! I think I've called over 100 times over the last few days.
