I did report it on that app that you told us about a couple of years ago - mPing!

Cool! Sounds like it was just a passing instability type clouds that happened to have enough moisture with it to drop some light precip.

Mping! Forgot about that. lol Yeah, that's awesome for real time stuff and I know NWS employees look at that as well as people. Very helpful.

But for actual data recording check out CoCoRaHS network. I wont overwhelm you all with info but best I can say is contact Vermont coordinator via email and ask how to get started. Its free and its so much fun. A little work in reporting but helpful.

National Hurricane Centers, River Hydrologists, Mosquito control, drought monitoring, NWS all use CoCoRaHS reports to help them.

CoCoRaHS - Community Collaborative Rain, Hail & Snow Network - VERMONT COORDINATORS

I started a thread on it, someone in Louisiana started reporting with them since summer. Maybe the thread can help with some info but contact the coordinator to get started to report daily rain and snow totals 6-8am everyday

You must be in a sweet spot to keep getting those intermittent snows that radar isn't even picking up. Must be so localized. Very special.

3pm temps. Notice the precip to the west... Clipper time. No big deal except higher elevations...

Notice the high peaks ADK another half foot possible. Must be insane up there between last 2 snow storms and now this. Not much melted either I think

Our forecast just changed for tonight, looks like more snow lol....though changing to rain (allegedly) for the weekend. We have a coating on the ground right now, 28 degrees here this morning.

Stowe Mountain has been making snow all week on top of the base they got last weekend. People are skinning up and skiing!

It is actually snowing here in Bratt, has been since at least 1 p.m. !
I'm very surprised, as forecast said rain-kept expecting the snow to stop, yet it hasn't (almost 6 p.m.).
Measured on my fire escape handrail-1.5 inches of wet fluffy accumulation.
Photos taken btw. 4:30 and 5 today.
