When I went out walking this afternoon, it snowed !
Okay, for only five minutes. But still, I was like "that's surprising".
Stopped & started couple more times, but again only for 5 mins.

Temps. in the 40s today, gusty winds-though didn't feel that cold.
Since the ground has soaked up some warmth lately, it's probably keeping things feeling less chilly.

Has been cloudy & dim, then bright & sunny, off & on as the day goes on.
Photos I took around town today of flowers, plants, and trees can be found here:

Tree (pre-leaf) buds-

Flowers & such-

Magnolia tree (who'd have thunk, in a northerly climate such as this ?) is coming along nicely-

What a change in pattern, huh guys? WOW!

We went from late ending winter to an early summer.

6pm and Burlington,VT is still at 87°F. Their max was 88. What month is this again?

Hartford, CT(BDL) hit 90°!
Rochester, Syracuse, Dansville hit 90° also

I looked at some stats and for down here we only had 1 month of Spring time max temps (45-65) since March 1st. In other words its been colder or warmer than that more times.

I want Spring back! lol

Just looked it up.

Last year Burlington waited to June 3rd to hit 89°.

Normal date to hit 89 at BTV is June 17th And they hit today.

Last time hitting this early was in 2009 (April 27th)
Before that was April 17, 2002

Almost every 7 yrs

Yeah, I am missing spring. Can't even get out to do much gardening as the sun is killer. Looking forward to some rain and a return to more normal temps. I was roasting yesterday!!!

Sweltering, sultry hot/muggy/humid today (Sun.), temps. in 80s.

Overheard conversation btw. cashier & customer at grocery store Friday,
remarking on the apparent brevity of that season we call Spring,
and the sudden onset of what seems to be-already-Summer.

Was 86 degrees Friday when I took this photo (crabapple of some sort ?)

Lilacs finally coming along, this was taken Thurs. just before they really started opening:

I hiked up Sugarbush in tshirt and shorts this morning... was still able to ski about 40% down from the top, with a little grass crossing of course.

Nice! Mt Washingtons snow is melting fast with all the warm temps we had. plus they had rain. Something many of us haven't had in the Northeast.

Can you feel the NorthWest wind difference this morning? Finally!

Forecast lows for tomorrow.
