Unrelated, but does anyone think there's enough going on to start a new thread on development updates between Woodmore Town Center down to Ritchie Marlboro? That could also include Landover (possible) FBI headquarters and the BLVD/Largo Hospital.

There are two new construction sites happening within the National Harbor (Not including the Casino), do anyone have any idea what they are building? I tried searching the PG country planning site but was not successful.

I am a resident at National Harbor (Potomac Overlook) and I heard that they are building some new 2-level townhomes in the back near PO.

The land that they are clearing towards the front (near Esplande Apts) will supposedly be another apartment building.

If you are a resident at National Harbor, join the Facebook group (National Harbor Residents) they discuss some of these projects in the group.

Default Maryland Live says MGM hired employees with high-roller lists

You have got to love the spirit of competition. I was wondering when something like this was going to happen. I don't think they have a case against MGM directly because it is going to be hard to prove that they conspired against MD Live without documentation. The former employees are going to get hit hard though. Signing a non-compete along with collecting client information will get them in hot water on a couple of fronts. Also, they will probably have any offer from MGM rescinded.

The funny thing about all of this though is that I doubt that the high rollers "stolen" would only patronize Live. I am sure that they have already approached or been approached by MGM for concessions and perks.

I really like the area a lot. The location is great. I am 15 mins away from downtown DC (via I-295) very close to Alexandria/Pentagon City and other parts of PG County. I also enjoy being able to walk to all the restaurants, events (movie night, Zumba, Yoga, concerts, etc...), and the waterfront at National Harbor. Many of the restaurants also provide discounts to the residents. Plus there is a community shuttle that takes NH residents to King Street metro daily.

My neighbors are very friendly and look out for each other. It is a very diverse community, which is a plus for me. Overall, the PO community is quiet and a well-kept secret.

I am eager to see what else is going to be developed at the National Harbor. I just learned that the value of my townhouse has increased by $80K since I bought last August.

My only concern at the moment is the increased traffic that will occur once MGM opens, but hopefully that will encourage mass transit options in the near future.

I love it here at the National Harbor! I've lived in Mont. County for a two years, and I lived in Old Town last year before moving to the National Harbor. This place is probably the best place I've lived at in this area. If you can afford it, I strongly recommend it.
