Not just DST, being in western side of the timezone (half hour) plays a role as well.

It is so noticeable though. In the late afternoon it looks like early afternoon! You wouldn't think you'd notice it but you do!

Its great being bright late.

Well I fell asleep but its 9:20 now and reasonably bright on the horizon. We are still a ways off our summer day length by the looks of it.

In the summer the sun would still be shinning for another hour and it wouldn't even begin to get dark until 11. Although I'm kinda fed up of our slow rate of increase lol, its only 2 minutes later everyday which isn't as noticeable as you would think, I kind of wish we were at Iceland's latitude.

Not looking to the Washington DC pathetic 8pm sunset in July and NYC's sunset of pre 8pm in August YUCK!!!

Yes, I am headed there to Washington and NYC for only two weeks.

It was really really expensive though, we paid like £300 per night at a hotel in NYC and it was not exactly 5 star lol, I won't be going to NYC again thats for sure.

I have learn't from last year and booked a day flight back so no jet lag for me!

Good gosh. I thought I was shelling out big bucks to book that apartment in Paris for 7 nights for $1550...lol. The works out to about a 150 quid a night, not too bad, I suppose.

I know I nearly cried we paid over £1000 for our stay.. I only did for a one off.

Hotels like Fairfield inn were charging £200 a night so that shows how high it is. The Hilton wanted £400 a night.. Never again

You'll love it, though, NYC rocks.
