A hot and humid spell of weather is set to arrive in the next 48 hours, after a brief cool-down from the 3-day heatwave that has just departed. An area of low pressure some 300 miles to the NE is set to drag up sultry conditions from areas further south, bringing with it an unstable and volatile atmosphere, ripe for severe storms. Temperatures of up to 34C are possible in southern areas and inland areas, and up to 29C in northern areas and coastal regions. Local records could be broken.
Thereafter, an appreciable cool-down is likely, bringing temperatures back to normal values or slightly below with a more stable air mass.
Probably won't be around tomorrow, so I'll post the upcoming week's forecast tonight.
