Was that above normal? I see some above normal temps right now around the lakes and southwest U.S.

Here's Ice Jam video in Maine from NWS

High 48 and low 32 on a sunny clear wind free day. Odd diurnal range for such a high sun angle this time of the year.

I wonder if we'll get frost here tonight. Race against the clouds.

STILL THINKING THAT TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN ABOVE
FREEZING...AT LEAST WHERE THE FROST/FREEZE PROGRAM HAS STARTED. SO
WILL KEEP THE FROST ADVISORIES THAT ARE ALREADY IN EFFECT.

THERE IS A CHANCE THAT FROST MAY NOT EVEN DEVELOP WITH THE CLOUD
COVER...HOWEVER IF CLOUDS DO NOT MOVE IN...OR WE GET BREAKS IN THE
CLOUDS FROST WILL BE POSSIBLE.

OTHERWISE...EXPECT A DRY NIGHT WITH LOWS FALLING INTO THE MIDDLE AND
UPPER 30S. OF COURSE TEMPERATURES MAY HAVE TO BE NUDGED DOWN A BIT
OF CLOUDS TAKE LONGER TO MOVE IN. WENT SLIGHTLY ABOVE A MAV/MET
BLEND FOR TEMPERATURES TONIGHT

It's about 3 degrees above normal for the date.

Speaking of above normal....

Northeast lake winds lock in tomorrow cooling the city (only 38F at Northerly Island and in the low 50's at best at the airports) and adjacent suburbs, but a good deal of the western and southern suburbs will still be in the 60's

Good news for Easter Sunday. Temps now expected to reach around 75 degrees

I Feel Your frustration and anger Chicago George, I hope that this frigging cold blast doesn't happen to close out April, and as always, the Midwest is looking to get the worst of it, I will be VERY PO'D if this forecast pans out. Nevertheless, Thank You for sharing this with us.

The High got to 65 Degrees at Indianapolis International and Eagle Creek Airpark today and it made it to 66 in Zionsville, the nearest representative weather station for Noblesville, Indiana, the extended forecast from the local news shows high temps in the 60's or 70's for the next 7 days I guess I will enjoy the seasonable to milder than normal weather while it is here in the Indianapolis area.

Impressive!! 1600% Higher than NORMAL!!! How can that be ignored?? This is history folks. We'll look back at the ice on Great Lakes and see 2014 at the top. And how about thinking about what happens when the ice starts pushing over the edge?

Giant ice slabs are pushed ashore near Great Lakes due to high winds:

From NWS Boston. I love that marine breeze. Although I prefer East rather than Northeast.
