I'm glad someone pointed that out. It looked very bizarre.

True, I wanted to say something about that and forgot it when I did the comment on the temps on Montpellier and Pescara, got my mind on those places and I closed the edition when I wrote about them.

Forgot to mention it. Good that you did it.

Yes but any snow that comes will be on the high ground in the North and the poster said the UK and North Spain will be getting their 'first snow' - as far as I know there has already been snow in the northern mountains of the UK (like there is just about every year). It is however unlikely to snow in the South (though snow in March even in the South is not unheard of), I don't know about Northern Spain but I'm guessing they have had snow in the mountains there too already this year?

Yeah, many parts of Scotland frequently get blizzards from November onwards.

Although most of us have certainly faced snow deprivation so far this year.

Nope.

Snow forecast for my home location starting at 9pm, running right through the night. Met Office say accumulations of 1cm or 2 for low levels and 5cm+ above 300m.

Northern UK receives snow in March on a regular basis so this is nothing special.

Have you had much snow this winter back home?

As usual, we've had absolutely nothing, other than a light dusting one morning. I think it's been about 3 or 4 years since we've had an inch or more of snow here.

Maximum temperatures today in Europe. Again above average and well above average in much places of the southern half of Europe.

The biggest difference above average was in Sanski Most - Bosnia with 24.4ºC (the nearest station, Banja Luka, has an high avg of 13.7ºC in March):

Exactly the same here are you sure you don't live in Sussex! :-)

Haha, it's probably a bit more normal for you, unless you live on the South Downs. The Vale Of York is quite well known for being a bit of a bad area for snow lovers, but to go years without snow is still pretty unusual.
Obviously, the UK isn't exactly known for snow and cold anyway, we all know it's pretty rare, but it would be nice for the kids to see some of it.
