Lol. Nice Tommy. Must feel good after all that time.
Yeah I wonder if the rivers caused fog with the snow around which then eroded the snowpack near them. Wonder what the River temps are. Im on phone now. Gotta be 40s?
And yeah, thats snow melting on the southside of the pack
I was looking at your Hudson bay ice chart and I noticed something interesting. its a cycle. the ice is cyclic. for instance the ice was at high in 2009 then plummeted in 2010 and slowly rebounded and now is a high again and considering how the ice has been pretty low from 1995 to 2015 compared to years before that most likely the ice on the Hudson bay will plummet to another low next year and then slowly rebound again. another example of this cycle was when the ice was at a high in 2004 and then plummeted reaching its low in 2006 before rebounding once more. look at it you will pick up what I saw.
****ing ass weather pattern winds off the 78F atlantic Airport way colder than out here.I wouldn't be suprised if I stayed above 70 all night . Just reminding me how much I hate sea breeze and night cloud during this season. The temperature has risen almost 4F to 72F in the last HOUR!!!!

Nice info & catch.. Everything is a cycle including Global temps on a larger scale. In fact I saw someone post something regarding the AMO and Hudson Bay Ice/Arctic Ice. When the Atlantic ocean cools, more Ice happens there. I'm sure there's a correlation but cant confirm without any homework done on it.
That's really cool. It's need to see the snow being chipped away at the southern boundaries.
Why the lack of snow in all the river valleys - the warmer water didn't allow the snow to stick there?
BTW .. almost forgot about this site.. It shows the snow depth (as of 7am) for local areas. At the top right enter zip code or city and state, then on the left click "Local area snow depth"
This is centered over Danvenort Iowa. You can see there is snow near the rivers. Check out Chicago
