It looks like it got down 36F at the airport this morning, but I noticed a few patches of frost on roofs in my neighborhood.

Tonight is supposed to be even cooler at 29F. Today's high is 52F and sunny.

It irks me when "normal" is used rather than "the long term average", especially in regards to weather. Especially with something as variable as snow, rain or drought.

I should start a topic.

You must of had some snow showers over night and was cold enough to stick around. LEX at 6am had "unknown precip" so looks like there was moisture around as snow maybe graupel.

8am radar showing some snow showers for the West Virginia hills

Not sure if you guys will like this site, just came across it. Wind Chill Map. Where is the legend though? That should be a given to anyone creating these.

Anyway. Feels like 30s down south almost lunchtime.

Freezing Fog Advisories in Washington and Oregon. Currently 27 F/-3 C with a dewpoint of 27 F/-3 C in Hermiston, OR.

..AREAS OF DENSE FREEZING FOG OVER PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST OREGON
AND SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON THIS MORNING...

.TRAPPED COLD AIR AND MOISTURE UNDER SURFACE BASED INVERSIONS HAS
LED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOCALLY DENSE FREEZING FOG EARLY THIS
MORNING. THE BELOW FREEZING TEMPERATURES WILL ALLOW FOG DROPLETS
TO FREEZE ON SURFACES MAKING ROADWAYS AND OTHER SURFACES SLICK.
THE FOG WILL EITHER LIFT INTO A LOW STRATUS LAYER OR DISSIPATE
LATER THIS MORNING.

Convective clouds reappeared since the cold front has passed through. Right now I can see sporadic lightning to the northeast.

1pm and this is what it feels like. Can you tell where the snowpack is? Hint.. it's not the East Coast. lol

Folks are shoveling and chopping ice and it's feeling like teens and 20s in Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana today. Nuts!

And here are the temps. Snowpack keeping them in the 20s.

Zoomed out. 1pm CST. Mississippi only in the 40s.
