F***k job hunting Got rejected after a telephone interview yesterday, next time I'm gonna drink before one of them to chill me out.
In fact, it's nearly 2pm now and I've cracked open a tinnie. Welcome to the unemployed post uni life
I've been to one interview after I got my bachelor's (in Dec 2015). I basically got rejected "for not the personality we were looking for" while the interviewer insisted I had performed absolutely brilliantly.
I'm glad I remembered to put beer in the fridge this morning. Put more than enough in. Looking forward to getting out this evening.
Boozing a bit before a phone interview is an interesting idea
Honestly, just a few beers before a phone interview (not a face to face interview, that would be too obvious) would be a good idea IMO.
I suck at interviews, so a few beers acts as Dutch Courage and would get me talking. Sounding enthusiastic and not nervous is ultra important to employers so I will definitely be necking a few beers before my next one

At least they let you know. I remember applying for jobs and if I was unsuccessful they never got back in touch with me. Very annoying. Some feedback is nice, if nothing else.
Now I'm one of the people who conduct interviews, so the shoe is on the other foot. I guess being confident is seen as desirable by most employers but at the same time, being nervous is expected - at least a little bit. It's a sign that you want the job.

Why is there a limit? I applied to more than for undergrad
Yeah, that seems weird. I only applied to one last year because I couldn't afford many application fees at the time.
