Yeah, I was wearing a jacket, but still felt pretty uncomfortable. How do our humidity levels compare?
Besides, you're used to living in temperatures that regularly go below -10C in the winter, so I call BS on your kid needing a jacket at 19C, you're just being silly now.
You acclimate quickly here. Winter temps are long over and by this time of year 60'sF you wear a jacket. Hell it is 70F today and I had a jacket on along with many others.
Not a problem. I guess I should apologise too.. I guess.
No hard feelings.
I was just more upset that Razza thought I was lying about giving the kids a light jacket when they went to the park. Why would I lie about something so stupid? It was in the mid 60s then dropped to the low 60s. It was cloudy and damp out.
But you certainly agree that 26C is not "heat" right? as that BBC tweet stated.
I never said 26c is heat. A typical May will see a few days of 26c highs. The BBC forecast for the entire country, not just London. 30c on the other hand, is heat. I'd pick London over Chicago any day of the week. I'd pick London in 2011 over Chicago.
It's interesting how there has been a sudden surge of votes for July or later, when it's almost certain to occur by Wednesday, possibly tomorrow (given that WO always underestimate the temps).
I'd pick London over Chicago any day of the week. I'd pick London in 2011 over Chicago.
That means nothing to George. Your summers are too cool for him and your winters too mild. You should know this by now but you reflexively get defensive. You tend to think everyone wants a winter like London.
a timely Chicago v London thread appeared from the vaults i see
