Some pics in Paris on the following Sunday. View from on Montmartre by Sacre-Coeur (that morning was warm by Paris standards but then rain came the middle of the day and it cooled down).

Paris has to be one of the most beautiful cities on earth. At least that's what anyone I know says who has ever visited.

And Normandy wow. Can you imagine the courage to storm those beaches with really well trained German troops and SS killers lined up against you, Ugh. Greatest Generation.

Your photos are amazing and thanks for sharing!!!!

Thanks!! It was a very nice trip.

I spent more time in London then Paris. I think high temps were around 70F each day in London (sunny the first day I was there, then after returning from France there were periods of rain)

Westminster Abbey

Changing of the guard at Buckingham palace.

Unfortunately Big Ben was surrounded by scaffolding.

St. Paul's Cathedral

View from on top of St. Paul's Cathedral.

Some pictures from yesterday 10/13/2019

2nd frost of the season, 1st freeze. Air temp dropped to 30F, my garden is officially dead now

Went hiking in the Laurel Highlands yesterday, foliage is peaking at 2000', past peak above 2500', and still a bit green below 1000'

Nice Maple Tree peaking (~1900' in elevation)

Laurel Mountain, very sunny day yesterday (top elevation 2950', canyon below is about 1100')

Found a nice little waterfall to eat lunch at

Step falls right below

Comparison Photo from Newtown, Connecticut.. 53° here while 58° at the coast. About 25 minutes away.

September 23rd vs October 17th

Some spots looking more like November after the storm came through with 30-50mph winds.

Foliage around here is never in uniform and it's always gone so fast

Burning Bush

Upper Low created a shower yesterday.
