Lots of fronts, instability, humidity, cloudy days, and thunderstorms.
Those on well water must be happy!
Look at coastal Fairfield County!

My backyard precip totals by the month..
And this is why I love our northeast climate in the US. Not much like it else where in the world. We can get 100 degrees dry or super humid 90’s with dew points at 75 or higher. We also can get dry years or very wet years like this one or just wet summers and very dry winters with not a lot of snow. We get 3 foot snowstorms sometimes like last December here in Albany with -20 degrees occurring or tropical storms, even hurricanes in summer. You can also get derechos, or tornados here as well (though rare). You really can’t name many places like ours in the world except maybe the Korean Peninsula, or places in China that can get -30 degree weather with lots of snow and hurricanes. Amazing what our climate is like here in the northeast and Northeast Canada. Always makes life interesting

Don't forget NorEasters and clippers. CAD and HHH.
July ended -1F below average at ORD. -2F below average in terms of the average high temps. Midway and IKK are still missing the final summarized monthly data calculations on the NWS/Chicago website but the anomalies are about the same. Actually I bet that IKK was even more below average than the Chicago airports. IKK only breached 90 degrees once this month. Wow.
