Also the airport just hit freezing for the first time of the season finally! Wind chill is 19F!
This is an advective freeze, given that it was experienced in the midst of a frontal passage. Probably no frost/ice at all, with the exception of the brief sleet event. With clearing skies, your next freeze will be a radiational event.

Feeling like winter there. I was gonna say looking at the map, looks like the precip chances are done there, dry air is filtering in all levels now

Nice summary. Here's an updated look as that front pushes Eastbound...

83° in Albany, Georgia. 31° in Alexandria, LA

Tornado warning at the Alabama/FL border, Snowing in Northern Mississippi.

That is typically what we get sleet and slush.

65’ today so ground is way too warm.

Hottest December ever. Probably.
We need more rain out west.
I'd love for a repeat of this, but it's not looking good for us.

Badly in need of rain in the East too.

Less than an inch since Nov 2021.

A little bothersome snow tonight, the coldest month of the year is nearly behind us so let it snow, spring is coming and daily highs start heading up.

Looking like it may stay freezing the remainder of the afternoon. Not aware of any sleet accumulation in the area.

Clearing is forecast tonight and wind should die down. Hard freeze warning issued with low of 25F forecast. Warming to 50F tomorrow but should have good radiational cooling tomorrow night - low of 27F.

There has to be better snow potential coming up in January for the Ohio Valley as the December blowtorch disaster pattern has ended. A positive trending PNA will send colder air southward taking out the southeast ridge.

Light snow being reported at the Mississippi/Louisiana border right now. It's not gonna mount to much since its a localized spotty snow shower. The heavier stuff is to the west. Nashville, TN reporting rain right now but about to changeover as the sun set
