It was the lack of sunshine and the long stretches of dreary, overcast weather that made it a horrible Spring. Admittedly May 2022 was better around here but March and April that year were lousy and far too cool/cloudy.

Yes, but if March counts as a spring month in the Great Lakes (especially in Toronto and points north), then Victoria and Vancouver can't claim to have winters. To me, the true test of a late or early spring is April, and those have been cool more often than warm in the past decade.

How about Nebraska going from 82F to 15F in a day and a half? Classic flyover country extreme weather there.
Just blow the planet 8.8 mil miles away from the sun from where we are now.

Anyone can use the NWS NOW data

https://www.weather.gov/wrh/Climate?wfo=afc

You can set it to look at any time period.
Here's a record of Valdez snowfall for several years, by month. Look to the left at a link for snowfall, monthly totals. For some reason it didn't paste up from that specific link.

Check out 1917-1918. 114 inches in April! Those old records might be somewhat suspect...

Temp under-achieved here today just making it to 76F though low 80's were forecast. Cloud cover lasted into the afternoon. Warmest it's been was 78F which we hit yesterday. 81F forecast tomorrow.

Meanwhile Shreveport about 110 miles to the NW got up to 88F today.

I guess you must be feeling pretty lucky you aren't living in DFW. Nowhere in Louisiana has anything on there today.

Yeah definitely glad those temps weren't here! The warmest Feb temp I've experienced was 86F on Feb 12, 2017. 88F is the warmest all time Feb temp here.

I later noticed that, yesterday I had seen 2 days ago's lows.

Yesterday's minumum morning lows in Turkey:

Göle had the minumum low in Turkey with -30.5°C.

Edit:

During my 3 day stay in Göle in January 2021

The coldest morning low in Göle was -32.5°C while it was -24.9°C in Ardahan the same morning (until 6 am).

I had measured -30°C with my liquid thermometer in Göle.

Met Office was showing -32°C at the moment.

The reading of the official weather station had gone down to -32.8°C after 6 am but it went up to -32°C after that.

It was really pain in the ass, taking off one of the gloves, touch the mobile photo and take the photo.
