I mean, I am not saying that hating winter is bad.....go ahead, whatever floats your boat. If everyone loved winter it would be a very boring world likewise if everyone loved summer, but I just don't see how it's necessary to start threads like this....lol. We have a few of them already. Like the "Winter is such a downer" thread for example. Just my opinion.....you can love it or hate it.
well, there WAS actually my "gecko rant" which indirectly also is critical of heat!

[SIZE=2] I do get the impression that the climate was cooler and wetter from the article than it is today. A lot of the patterns have remained the same but most of the temps quoted are on the cool side. Would be great to see the climate like that again with the hoar frost in the Sydney basin and more frequent snow on the tablelands.

OK, I'll rant! It's March and I don't want a blizzard, 30°F, winds howling at 25 mph, gusts to 35, and I can't see across the street! I am reading for Spring!

Perhaps I wouldn't like that either...
(it doesn't sound nice, and perhaps a cool summer wouldn't be as annoying)

but for it to be hot enough for me to experience a summer like that,
there would have to be zero days under 105 F (40 C) with humidity never under 40%, which should make heat indexes always above 120 F.
(or somehow the heat index is above 115 F everyday, all summer long)

Anything cooler would be, at worst, "enjoyable" from time-to-time.
And very few places on Earth are that hot, I believe. ()
