My wife wanted to check out the Shogun Buffet in AVL, we went for lunch, disappointing,
that’s my exposure to AVL eateries, the only time I go to AVL is for medical specialists,
so my exposure is close to none.

If you head North to Marshall, the Reunion Diner on 213, and then onto Mars Hill on N Main, the Stack House, are more disappointments.

If your looking for a nice Italian rest. in Mars Hill, PaPa Nicks on N Main in Mars Hill is
the ticket.

My vote goes for El Chapala, Twisted Laurel and Blue Mountain Pizza in Weaverville and Papas and Beer on Hendersonville Road in Asheville. Could eat at those four on a rotating basis and be plenty happy!

The Asheville area is a food lovers dream with tons to choose from. Had dinner at Vinnies on Merrimon the other night and it was really good as was Red Ginger in AVL. Have had maybe two bad meals over the past year with most others being above average to excellent.

Although not a restaurant (but much better IMO), be sure to check out The Farmers Hands in Mars Hill. Sebastiaan and Ariel Zijp put on cooking classes from their homestead that are so ... much ... fun! We recently took their Farm to Table class and it was amazing. He truly is an exceptional chef and they're really good people too. Just bring a bottle of wine to share with the class and you're all set! Here's their link - http://www.thefarmershands.com/

In a previous post I reviewed a restaurant in AVL, along with a couple in my location.

Just got a message reminding me that the restaurants along with the county that they are
located in are not in AVL.
Don’t exactly know who sent it, but I’ll bet a Dollar to a Donut, it came from the know it all Pompous one....You know who you are.

If he/she’s eyes are open, thanks for reminding me of where I live.

Onward !

We love Blue Mountain Pizza and Twisted Laurel here in Weaverville. My husband and I are vegetarians and also love Plant, Laughing Seed, Ave M, and Rosetta’s Kitchen (all in Asheville). The food scene here is a dream come true for us. Especially so being vegetarians. Where we lived before there was hardly any real vegetarian options. Yes, we could get Thai and Indian. But really innovative vegetarian food...no. I’ve made it a mission to try the vegetarian Reuben anywhere I see it, lol

Any reviews on Little Pigs Bar-B-Q on Mc Dowell St AVL.
They’re billed as AVL oldest Bar B Q.

I took my wife to Drs located across the street from the eatery, waited in my vehicle,
and couldn’t believe the business they were doing, parking was at a premium.
