Little pigs is the worse around . We had not been to the ashland road road little pig in some years and ended up leaving for a meal else were as even the meat tasted like it was oven cooked not cooked with wood or slowly cooked .

If you want a well rounded BBQ place drive down to Green River BBQ on hi 176 just out side of Saluda open 7 days a week . They use to be very good but looks like they have changes some menu items .

OR

Okie Dokies in Swannanoa , They have good meats but limited sides and more basic sides at that . Good meat !!

Best ribs - Hate to say this - Texas Road House

Green River BBQ has been hit or miss for us. When it's good it's very very good but......
Another recommendation is Hubba Hubba Smokehouse. Odd hours, for sure, but it's fun to sit outside with chickens and Guiinea fowl running around your feet then walk over to Flat Rock Bakery (same owners as West First Wood Fired Pizza) for dessert. If you want to make it a full day of eating, have breakfast at Honey & Salt but be prepared for a wait and if you eat inside a LOT of noise. As an aside, the person who reverses the trend on noisy restaurants will have my eternal gratitude - I miss being able to eat and have conversations that don't require shouting. Harrumph! Get off my lawn!

The most flavorful and innovative food is at Limones in downtown Asheville. It is very expensive for dinner. Sunday brunch is much more affordable. The margaritas are unusual and very tasty. I give it five stars for food, but expensive for dinner.

Avenue M is very good, as is Que Sera in Black Mountain.
