easily Poland. Its not even 1st world country. Especially when you take in the fact that their minimum wage is 404 Euro's a month and their living costs like rent, utilities bills are not much more than the UK where the minimum wage is 1421 Euro's.

57 votes for the US, 50 for Poland : 57 votes for the first world power, 50 for the "success story" of Eastern Europe...food for thought...

Yeah Poland shouldn't have been in the poll from the beginning.

The United States should not have been in the poll either? It scores even worse than Poland. Interesting though, that the land of opportunity scores worse than an impoverished former communist state.

US is not that bad, .
The majority of the users here are Americans(or have lived in the US for a fairly long time), therefore they are more likely to complain and ***** about their own unpleasant experiences then vote for the US. US sure has its fair share of problems, some of them are probably impossible to solve, but it's far from the worst.

If the majority of the posters here are from France/Japan/Germany etc., they'd probably get lots of votes as well.

Btw the reason why Poland should've not been in the poll is that it's not developed, while US most definitely is. It's even less developed than Taiwan is, which is saying something because Taiwan isn't exactly developed in the first place.

The highest quality of life for an average person is in the United States if you're not lazy and irresponsible with money. I don't even earn the median income for bachelor's degree holders and I saved six figures within a few years after graduating.

A person with an average income can't do that sort of thing in Europe (especially welfare states like Scandinavian countries, France, etc.), where the incomes are lower, the taxes are higher, and the cost of living is higher.

Just because the typical American focuses on partying all through school and runs up every credit card he/she has access to doesn't mean this country has a low quality of life.

Seriously, how are we almost tied with Poland? With all the money I saved, I can probably go the next decade without working in Poland.

^I think American prefers to pay their own health insurance instead of paying high tax for universal healthcare which will also entitle lazy people.

Though I hope they will remove that "DEDUCTIBLE" and makes everything FREE as long as you are paying such high premium.
