I have no idea, and won't waste my time thinking about it. Their ideology is their own cross to where, and they can have it.
Great country America, glad to be here. Those who hate and judge, maybe should take a long look at themselves and what they stand for, as an American, i have no tolerance for hateful idealism.
In the end, their just jealous..
Huh? Are you talking about the world hating the UK because of that tv show. Don't believe that for a minute. The UK produces excellent quality tv programming, imo a lot better than some of the crap US studios put out.
Nothing will match Top Gear(UK version), my favorite show.
I stay away for the most part from US television shows, except news. I prefer cable channels like Discovery, Smithsonian Channel, NatGeo, etc.
Reality tv just stinks.
You know, I just suppose it is who you ask. Do you think someone living in the slums of Bangaladesh enjoys the magnificent production of Downton Abbey? Or, what percent of the world does not even have the capability to see it or would want to.

The part of your post about Americans being told from young they live in the greatest country on earth is so true. I've always wondered how they got such a huge brainwashing scheme passed so successfully on such a huge population. I figure it's a combination of the media telling them that and the school system probably reinforcing it maybe *shrug*
To be fair the US is physically isolated and so large. In addition, Americans don't get a much vacation time as Europeans. From the west coast of the US it's at least 10-11 hours on a plane to either Japan or western Europe. Even NY to London is a good 6 hours, so it's at least semi long haul for someone from Chicago or LA to get anywhere except Mexico or Canada.
European countries are often smaller than US states, and it's easy to just go to the next country like the next state. So to a European visiting another country is like visiting another state to an American, just much more different. New Zealand is very isolated but it's small enough that it's citizens feel compelled to travel more.
Is Little Britain the show with the fat bald guy who plays a woman or am I confusing things? I think I may have seen it before.
Yeah, that's it Little Britain is similar to Married With Children in a sense that it's situational comedy that focuses on the more regrettable stereotypes of both countries... in Little Britain, you have people who are on the dole for no discernable reason other than they're just lazy; classless and crass youth; creepy perverts; etc. Married With Children was a jab at the "Joe Six Pack" stereotype of American life: the guy who had settled into a crummy job that he hated to support a trashy, bimbo wife and dumb kids doomed to mediocrity. He was more excited about his toilet than his family life; more preoccupied with porn than the wife who was constantly begging him for sex; he loathed his younger, happier neighbors... both shows are were/are witty observational humor that's wrapped in the vulgarity of the groups they're ripping against.
I don't hate America. I don't know many who do either. To be honest, most people don't give a crap about America, outside America. America has good tv and stuff like that but I wouldn't say many of us care enough to say we hate America.
There are annoying things about the US but there is also about other countries. If there is something that annoys me about Americans, its their ignorance. Its not all Americans so don't take it the wrong way but what I don't like is the people who think the world revolves around the US. As I said, its not all so don't take offence and eat me
To be fair the US is physically isolated and so large.
Yet, Canadians, Australians or New Zealanders, who are in a similar boat, seem to know much more about the outside world than Americans. So the isolation or the sheer size of the US doesn't seem to be the only reason behind it.
Vacation time may be a point, but many middle-class Americans also get 4+ weeks of vacay time a year and even if not, you can still be informed about the world without actually visiting it.
if america wasnt the top dog , china would be hated by a significant number of people , the british were hated the same way for centurys
their will always be a dominant nation although their has never been one with the kind of vastly superior power which the u.s wields
