-People are stupid, arrogant, rude, dishonest, snobbish
-Corruption
-Quite aglomerated for my taste (although below average European density and large uninhabited / low unhabited areas are found)
-Not big enough compared with other countries (238,391 km² / 92,043 sq mi)
Best
-Very diverse and well preserved nature: wild mountain forests (from one with cold, northern climate and vegetation to ones with sub-Mediterranean), largest European river - Danube with magnificent gorges and the Delta - largest European wetland, richest European wildlife etc
-Perhaphs the most culturally diverse country in Europe (historical diversity), with am amazing number of ethnicities, contrasting cultures, types of architecture etc
-Relatively good climate - hot summers, usually 30-35ºC (86-95ºF) or higher, no humidity and cold and snowy winters in mountain areas
-Geographic position between Western Europe and Middle-East, allowing travelling easier to both these areas
friendly informal and also tollerant ( in an unconventional way ) people
low crime
decent wages ( despite the present troubles )
cons =
weather ( only country in the world where too much rain is a problem a lot of the time )
indifference to civic duty = irish people dont mind ignoring rules which they see as optional
the insider culture = who you know is more important than what you know in many ways , some sectors of the economy feel they should be sheltered from competion and the rescession
politics = irish people are incredibly parochial in outlook, who fixed the potholes on their local road is a higher priority than making important descisions which are in the national interest
poor broadband , below the level they have in much less wealthy countries , its a sparsley populated country so perhaps this is to be expected
Rain is frequent enough here to cause issues, last year was absolutely dominated by flooding, as have most years since 2007. Eastern England and the Midlands are pretty dry, ditto the east of Scotland, but more southern and western areas are pretty wet, no different to the majority of Ireland.

I would trade the rain and the beautiful scenery for the urban environment I live in. Also I bet the people are friendlier as well. Here in the city everyone looks so miserable.

London is very dry compared to the UK average which is well above 1,000mm. Parts of Scotland, NW England and W Wales get in excess of 3,000mm, some areas get above 4,000mm. The UK is larger than Ireland, there is more variability, but Dublin and eastern Ireland aren't particularly wet.
Btw that speed is measured at the top of the hill they said 32 last time and we got 40. So around 60 this time.
