I like "reckon" and "reckoning" personally. It's a very multi-purpose and useful word. Don't hear it too much around me though. Is it a regional thing? .
I know it's quite commonly used by the British, but in the US, is it midwestern, southern etc.? It seems generally rural-sounding to me.
