Regarding "punishment does not seem to phase this kid."

Saw this one, too. Unfortunately, many people don't understand there is a word "faze."

Per a recent newspaper article, someone hoped that the stolen "air looms" would be recovered. :/

The term "thingy". Hate.

In today's newspaper, we learned of an incident on 104th Calvary Road.

I want to drive them to the corner of that road, and show them the sign that reads,

104th Cavalry Road.

That might be a misspelling in that case but "Calvary" is a valid word and "Calvary Rd" can be found in some cities. I'll skip the religious significance of "Calvary" as this isn't the proper forum.

What you say is true, but...a reference to the, "104th Calvary (sic)", is much more likely to be a mangled military reference, rather than a biblical reference.

I think I covered that in my opening statement. Maybe if I said "is..." instead of "might be..." .

I just found an email that I sent in March 2005 to the webmaster of a nearby county fairground:

"the directions on your Contact page refer to a 'marquis' at 13th and Jefferson. A marquis is a French aristocrat who ranks above a count but below a duke. What you have at 13th and Jefferson is a marquee."

The error was still there a year later, so I sent a similar email in May 2006. The site has since been redesigned and the error is gone.

Anybody else notice the New York Times TV ad now running for their Black Friday subscription sale? The video cycles through a calendar showing the days that the sale is in effect, including November 31. All day.
