Well it seems localized to the SE so probably not ..................... think I was wrong.

I read that refinries in Texas are still slow to come up after Ike and Lousiana is not 100% after Gustav ............ was reading we could have 2-3 weeks of the same. Gas goes through the pipeline at 3-4 mph.

At the intersection of Doby's Bridge rd and 521 where the IndianLand HS is there is a gas station that had gas and short lines when I was there about 9:10 this am. Good Luck.

Default Gas at EXIT 11

There is gas at EXIT 11 off I-20. Aiken County is doing pretty well. It seems if you go to the stations late you get in and out. Prices are pretty good. There is a Realtor with Olde South Realty in North AUgusta that gives us updates. If you are traveling West from Columbia stop in Aiken County, Exit 11, 5, or 1. GO USC, and I don't mean those out west imposters.

The BP and Circle K off of I-77, exit 85 had gas last evening. I waited for an hour at 9:00 PM to fill up at the Circle K. Both had long lines.

The BP in Startown has some... There were around 50+ cars at the Exxon in Startown, most of which had broken down in the parking lot... it was like a ghost town of empty cars all lined and tangled up in the parking lot... Finally a gas truck came around 7:30 and police had to direct traffic to prevent car wrecks... People are starting to get desperate... It's a little scary!

So what the heck is Sanford doing about this? At least Easley is trucking down some to Charlotte from Wilmington. That would at least help us some down here but Sanford has to have some plan doesn't he?

Okay, I guess I'm just dense. Why is it localized in the South East? Is there only ONE pipeline out of Houston????? I've been talking to family in Calif, Idaho and the MidWest and everyone seemed surprised that we were having a shortage. They all seem to have gas and the prices are FALLING. Did no one know this was gonna happen? Did it have to get this bad?
