Description: Each year during the beginning of August, street rod fanatics from around the country hit the road and head for Louisville, Kentucky, for four days of hot rod fun. Colorful street rods—vehicles traditionally built prior to 1949 that have been considerably souped up—flood the city and gather at the Kentucky Exposition Center, where a variety of activities take place. Spectacular vehicles are on display, and guests are encouraged to roam around and get to know the vehicles’ owners, but there are other events the family will enjoy just as much. Aside from the commercial exhibitors, you’ll find a swap meet and Women’s World, with an assortment of arts and crafts, as well as children’s games.
